Welcome to the Centre for Supervision and Team Development Bath website.
If you are thinking of undertaking training in supervision then you will be interested to explore this site. Although supervision is often carried out by senior practitioners without specialist training, there is much to learn in order to fully provide for the needs of your supervisees, their clients and your organisation. Training in supervision can give you vital skills and the space in which to reflect on the needs of supervisees as well as your own strengths and weaknesses as a supervisor. Most people undertake this training in order to feel properly prepared to fulfil this role but, in addition, supervision training may be required by your employer or accrediting body and our certificate will meet that expectation.
CSTD Bath has a certificate programme; provides in-house bespoke training and continuing professional development in supervision for all those in the helping professions including counsellors, psychotherapists, psychologists, social workers, nurses, doctors, occupational therapists, teachers and many more.
The wide range of professions we work with reflects our philosophy which is to be as inclusive as possible in all senses. It is based on 35 years of supervising, training supervisors and writing and researching about supervision internationally. Our models and curricula are suitable for many professions, theoretical approaches, work situations and length of experience.
We aim to provide the requirements for professional accreditation as supervisors including those of BACP, UKCP and BPS. We invite you into our website to learn more about our inclusive approach and how we meet your needs in particular. If you start with the introduction and then go on to read about the different modules, we hope you will find the information you need. We are always willing to engage with you by phone or email if you have any questions.
