I really enjoyed the course. I found it to be very interesting and learned a lot about supervision. I particularly appreciated the group learning experience with plenty of opportunity to practise using "real-play". I was impressed by the creativity that the tutors encouraged and facilitated. I also really enjoyed the lovely lunches and interesting conversations with fellow students on the course

I studied for the CTSD Diploma in Supervision in 2015 and was hugely impressed by the openness and integrity of the tutors and by the quality of all feedback received, which was delivered sensitively and compassionately. The programme was highly experiential, whilst also being rigorously academic. I consider myself particularly fortunate to have had the opportunity to be facilitated by Judy Ryde, and to experience first-hand her skill and artistry in managing group processes.

I found the CSTD course a very helpful and supportive introduction to supervisory practice.  The training days were expertly facilitated and I really appreciated the multidisciplinary nature of all the groups I was part of.  This allowed for rich discussions and enough time and space to really think things through.  The course supported me through my early experiences of supervising others, and has enabled me to continue to consider my learning needs in my new role.  This has led to me seeking ongoing supervisory support from a CSTD supervisor, which has both enriched my practice, and supported me through the challenges of settling in to a new role.

Warm, personal, inclusive and yet ground-breaking, the CSTD training is as transformative as supervision itself.  It walks the walk, and has given me skills that are now the bedrock of my daily professional life.

CSTD Bath’s supervision training fitted into my professional development alongside private practice, teaching and research. My experience of the course was that it was relevant, nourishing, supportive, challenging, well-structured and unhurried. I particularly enjoyed meeting people from other fields as well as reconnecting with several colleagues from my time as a student at BCPC. I have no reservation in recommending this training to anyone keen to practise as a supervisor in the helping professions. And incidentally, I love the supervisory work!

I was looking for a supervision course that was grounded in theory yet also creative and open to me as a person with my own personal and professional values. The course exceeded my expectations and a part of me wishes I could do it all over again. The tutors brought out the best in all the participants and through those contacts I learnt about myself as a supervisor. I am grateful to have received lifelong tools for understanding the contexts in which I work.

The experiential learning aspect of the programme was invaluable and enriched by the mixture of professionals in attendance. The support and guidance from the tutors was excellent, with the 360 feedback providing a useful and beneficial aspect of the course.

A thorough exploration of theory via experiential learning which was expanded through creative activities, and fun!  The high professional standards of the tutors and the participants, alongside the support given enhanced all aspects of my training.  All of this and in the truly wonderful setting of a castle.  I would highly recommend this course to anyone seeking to step into Supervision.

The CSTD supervision diploma training is exceptional. I enjoyed five three day modules between 2015- 2016 where I was encouraged, supported and challenged, stretching me intellectually and emotionally through group work sensitively facilitated by the highly experienced and gifted trainers.

The location at Barrow Castle is perfect, allowing space to reflect and expand into the peaceful, nurturing, beautiful grounds including a herb garden enneagram and walled vegetable garden. I cannot recommend these training courses highly enough - I learnt so much on so many levels and look forward to returning to Barrow Castle as a delightful treat and food for the soul as well as the opportunity for further professional development.

I waited a long time before choosing a Supervision training course.  I wanted a course that would both recognise and synchronise my skills and therapeutic approach in a respectful manner that encouraged the integration of the theory and skills being taught.  CSTD supervision training offered me respect and recognition and the training builds on a firm and clear relational base.  The arrangement of modules allowed me to structure my time and progression to qualification with ease and confidence.  I would highly recommend this training programme.

One of the elements that drew me to CSTD's course was their process approach to supervision. This is central to the training as is the commitment to experiential learning. It is a training that has prepared me well to supervise professionals and volunteers outside counselling and psychotherapy communities, especially in the voluntary sector.
The tutors and different groups I met provided a helpful balance of challenge, validation and encouragement. The building and grounds offer an atmosphere of calm containment; quite beautiful and a wonderful resource for professional and personal growth.
